Payments Lead - Site Payments
Job Description:
- Reviews and approves payments, budgets, reconciliations, etc., in accordance with work instructions and site contracts.
- Compiles data from multiple sources to generate payments to sites in accordance with work instructions.
- Ensures adherence to country-specific regulations which affect and impact ability to pay.
- Manages payment responsibilities and workflow to meet contracted timelines and project deliverables.
- Manages escalations (project team, site and sponsor) regarding payment issues and resolves payment-related findings. Escalates project risks appropriately.
- Trains new hires and mentors study teams on site payment processes, including setting expectations around site payments’ requirements and deliverables.
- Process investigator payments on payments platform.
- Enter budgets and amendments on payments platform.
- Prepares and delivers Open Payments (fka Sunshine Act or transparency) reportin.g
- Performs study close out reconciliations.
- Manage and maintain investigator funds tracker for studies.
- Working directly with Project Leads – to address queries from sites and sponsors.
- Assists internal and external teams with regular follow ups with clinical trial sites and study teams.
- Assists the finance team with invoices and payments, as needed.
- Maintains files and study-related documentation in the appropriate location.
- Performs other necessary duties as may be assigned by supervisor to meet customer’s needs.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Minimum two years of experience in life sciences or clinical research industry is preferred.
- Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Creative problem-solving skills. Must be self-aware and curious.
- Must be ambitious and able to work collaboratively. A successful candidate will be detail oriented with the ability to communicate with and build relationships.
- Must be flexible, able to manage short deadlines & multiple priorities.
- Must be able to demonstrate good judgment in decision-making and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Demonstrated sense of urgency.
