Payments Manager

    Payments Manger – Site Payments

  • Plan, develop, and execute business operations for global site payments services.  
  • Design and develop site payments analytic tools, promote adoption of the tools.
  • Develop and deliver site payments training, internally.
  • Identify, draft, and deliver new processes and policies related to site payments subject matter expertise.
  • Function as subject matter expert for global site payments guidance.
  • Support Requests for Information (RFI) and/or Requests for Proposals (RFP) related to site payments.
  • Create, support, and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and/or Work Instructions (WI).
  • Manage direct reports to support project oversight.
  • Ensure adherence to country-specific regulations that affect and impact ability to pay.
  • Manage site payments responsibilities and workflows to meet contracted timelines and project deliverables.
  • Manage escalations (project team, site, and sponsor) regarding site payments service issues and resolve payment-related findings. Escalate project risks to leadership appropriately.
  • Train new hires and mentor study teams on site payments processes, including setting expectations around site payments requirements and deliverables.
  • Work directly with Project Leads to address queries from sites and sponsors.
  • Assist the finance team with invoices and payments, as needed.
  • Perform other necessary duties as may be assigned by supervisor to meet customers’ needs.

Requirements Include: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum five years of experience in life sciences or clinical research industry is preferred.
  • Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Creative problem-solving skills. Must be self-aware and curious.
  • Must be ambitious and able to work collaboratively. A successful candidate will be detail oriented with the ability to communicate with and build relationships.
  • Must be flexible, able to manage short deadlines & multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to demonstrate good judgment in decision-making and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency.
